I just haven't acquired the taste for IPA.  I've had pliny in a bottle and on tap, I can't say I like it any more than I like a Dogfish Head 90.

You might enjoy New England "style" IPA's because they tend to lack overbearing bitterness in favor of more sweet citrus and tropical fruit flavors. There's a few newer breweries out west that specialize in those kinds of beer. Monkish in Torrence is tearing shit up. Also Cellarmaker in SF.

I've been steadily working through my case of Pliny. Found out the case was $60. Holy shit. So I've been tempering with Belgian Wit homebrew

I like a vast assortment of brews but, for whatever reason, I can't get myself to like wit beers. I've tried quite a few of them too.

Founders CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout) just dropped nation-wide today. This is one of the most sought after beers in the country so I figured this was worth a bump.

Drinking a bottle now. It's incredible. If you find one, definitely buy it. It's pricey but worth it.

One of my favorite beers, period. I couldn't track any down.

always check el cerrito liquor in corona. they're one of the best on the entire coast. they had a shitload yesterday with a 1 person limit.

I'll check. Doubt they have any left. The Total Wine in Tustin went through theirs in less than 1 hour. Thanks!

@Stradling maybe not now, but you can check. jazz used to not only get the special release stuff, but he also seemed to get more than anyone. call before rolling over....they may have some stuffed in the back. the collection and beers that dude gets is unreal. I think he even did his own collab with taps.

I just picked up a 4 pack of Ballast Point's Victory at Sea Porter aged in High West Bourbon barrels. Talk about a lot of flavor. Great stuff

my little watering hole seemed to kind of phase out Belgians and this kind of became my regular order there for a while. good beer.

Kind of. Breakfast Stout is their coffee stout. It's very good. It's really easy to get.

Then there is Kentucky Breakfast Stout. It's the Breakfast Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels. It's quite tasty and more difficult to get.

CBS is Canadian Breakfast Stout. It's the Breakfast Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels with Maple syrup. Before this year it was very difficult to get a bottle. I've only had it on tap.
