Ohtani in HR Derby? Scioscia won't stop him

Well he usually pitches on Sundays so he won’t pitch on Tuesday of the All Star game.

This is kind of a weird one. Hes not a shoe in to go as a DH, he might not get voted in (as crazy as that sounds). And the managers pick the pitchers, but he wont be available.

Scioscia “letting him” is the first sign of Scioscia knowing this is his last year, that coupled with him letting Ohtani throw 110 pitches leads me to believe he wants to lose because secretly he wants to be the Dodgers next manager.

Willing to bet he does. Ohtani is the story for 2018 so even if it’s to one batter it would be a treat to all Angels fans and to his overall fanfare. It would be an amazing accomplishment that MLB would also appreciate. I think he would be willing to do it. He has the next day completely off anyway.
