Now that his career is seemingly over -- you look at John Lackey and dude had one heck of a quality career.   Outside of his 2011 season the guy was as rock solid a second tier guy as you could find.  

 

Agreed on Lack. That was a huge mistake on our end. The Angels pulled some BS during negotiations, and we paid the price on it over the years.

I hate pedro. Seemed like a prick. But when he peaked, he was the nastiest guy alive. Dominant K guy like Randy Johnson, but more control. Couple that with pitching in Fenway, mostly in the AL east, in the steroid era...like Lou said, beast.
