Yeah GL to anyone that faces the Red Sox or Yankees in a 1 game play-in.

I think there is a chance to beat Boston in a one game playoff. Sale has shown he isn’t always great like last year in the playoffs and their pen isn’t the best.

But beating the yanks or Sox in a full series will be nearly impossible

For the record, I am going to predict that the Twins are going to overtake the Mariners for the second WC slot. They are finally playing well, having taken series' from Cleveland and Boston in their last two. They go for a sweep of Boston today. They have a good lineup and an actual bullpen.

look who has a new favorite team

Nope

just pointing out that they have a 4 game set vs the Sox and have a chance to leap the angels and maybe make up some ground on Seattle

Next time I’ll ask for permission when talking about other teams in the “official 2018 Major League Baseball thread”

Words of wisdom...

Trading your best prospects for a half-season rental is not a great percentage move, but when teams stop doing it, people think there is something wrong with them because they are no longer as foolish as they used to be.

In baseball, when teams stop acting irrationally, it's a news story. Signing pretty-good-but-not-great 32-year-olds to long-term contracts was a horrible investment, but when teams suddenly stopped doing it this year, people thought it was a conspiracy. /
