Maddon gets stroked a lot here, he's obviously good at the whole managing thing, but, holy crap, his comments on this are stupid.

I know you try to defend your player but Rizzo f'd up here and is lucky he didn't injure the guy.  Just say "Rizzo plays hard and took a bad angle" or some such nonsense.

Admittedly, it doesn’t work for pretty much any MLB team.   Closers are used to pressure spots, but the mindset changes with a 4 run lead.  Maybe they let up too much with a bigger lead?

The Indians and Twins were supposed to be good. We helped them not be good. Though it seems the Indians might be awakening now.

We went 3-3 against Detroit. 2-1 against KC. 5-2 against Cleveland. 5-1 against the Twins. 2-1 against White Sox. 

I mean Astros get a cupcake schedule in June too ... they are really going to pull away I assume from the rest of the division.

And it's true, our schedule has been really easy in May. June looks much scarier ... but hey Oakland beat up on the Red Sox ... anything is possible in baseball.

At least you beat up on the Twins, the Halos struggled to split 4 home games with them.

And you have played mostly the top 3 in the AL Central, and only 6 games vs the bottom two cellar dweller types.

Gardenhire was a great hire.   He works well with young players, like he did in Minnesota.
