been running through some of these because my kids are having a sleepover and I've locked myself in the office.  

this has to be like Eppler's favorite thing.  

I can just imagine the buzz around his office when the list comes out.  'It's here!! It's here!!'

100% agree. There are so many to look through too, and he always finds some gems, even though some only show up in low-level box scores for temporary timeframes. He’s really good at finding talent cheaply.

Looked through that list and saw a lot of familiar names from the Angels farm system.

Ryan Merritt in particular is someone I'd like to see targeted. Huge GB lefty. They could try putting him in the bullpen to increase his velocity and see how his stuff plays up as a reliever or simply keep him as a swing man.

You dont see that from most 19 year olds, much less those who are already rich. Really pulling for this guy.

At the very least a September call up but he may just Trout his way to the majors before projections.

The major difference between Trout and Adell at this stage was Trout's plate discipline. Adell's improved as the year progressed but unless it improves by leaps and bounds, I don't picture him getting the early promotion.

If Eppler is serious about moving Calhoun, it might very well be because he anticipates Adell being ready for an audition pretty early in the year. I’d rank them on another level, but it worked alright for Acuna and Soto.

Let’s say he does step in and immediately produce - that could be a huge addition. Simply making that path more open for that to happen could be worth it.

Silver lining, if they wait until 2020, Adell will have a better chance at winning Rookie of the Year. Not only will he have improved beyond where he was a year earlier, but he won't be competing with Vlad Jr.

I realize that's not how any team thinks, it's just fun to think about. If Adell won in 2020, that would mean the Angels would've won three of the last eight awards. Not bad for having no farm system for a solid three years.
