Not a bad return for two months of a backup catcher.

But this still probably only the second most lopsided trade with Houston is recent history. Sending them Hank Conger in return for Tropeano and Perez was a pretty big win for this franchise.

This one has great potential to be #1 though, if Machete comes back here as a FA signing.

Does Sandoval stay there the rest of the season, or get promoted to AA?   Seems like he’s toying with Cal League hitters.   Maybe part of it is unfamiliarity?

Huh?

Well, Conger turned out to be a catcher that couldn't catch or hit, and in return we got a back end starter and a gold glove candidate catcher. It's not a spectacular win, but any way you shake it, it's a win for the Angels, and we still haven't seen the best from Tropeano as he's still shaking off the rust from TJ surgery.

But this has a chance to be a bigger win.

I’m not saying it’s not a win but Tropeano couldn’t stay healthy and Perez was whatever (not much better than conger).

it was okay

let's not forget that we got valbuena from the astros, so that weighs heavily in their favor.

Angels haven’t even had a chance to sign the best one they’ve been linked to.  Alexander Ramirez was ranked as 24th overall international player but he can’t sign until he’s 16 on August 29th.  Expectation is that he’ll sign with the Angels, but in the last week or so there’s been a weird story that he might take like 700k less to sign with the Padres.  That seems far fetched to me, I guess we’ll see in a few weeks.  But anyway, he’s the best one we’re suppose to sign.
