From Baseball America this morning....

Thursday's Stars

Taylor Ward, 3B, Angels. One of the most surprising developments of 2018 is Ward's turn from light-hitting catcher into a third baseman who terrorizes pitchers. Ward went 3-for-3 last night with a double, a home run and two walks. He's hitting .392/.466/.632 at Triple-A Salt Lake and has 12 home runs this year, which is already a career high.

Matt Thaiss, 1B, Angels. Thaiss' development hasn't been as shocking as Ward's but he's another Angels first-round pick who is having a much better season. Thaiss hit his eighth home run for Salt Lake yesterday and now has 14 on the season. He'd never hit more than nine in a season before this year.

? no worries

Walsh was 2/5 in his debut
Rengifo also stole a bag.  ended up 1/4, bb.  Looked good defensively again.
Ward and Thaiss each 1/4, bb.  Ward looked good at 3b.
Luis Pena 6ip, 1h, 1er, 1bb, 4k.  Looked very good.  Under control tonight.

So what you're saying is, they looked good.

Since Kevin Maitan hit a HR tonight and didn't commit an error, I think it's safe to say he's received the medicine he needed to correct his disability.

It's a good thing the doctors at AngelsWin Medical Center were here to corectly diagnose him with ADD/ADHD and chronic laziness. Who knows, if he struggles again maybe we can say he's on the spectrum and get him an aide to go with him to the plate and remind him when to swing.

Orem was up 10-0 and lost 15-11.

Maitan 1/2, hr.  pulled early.

Kiki Menendez 2/4, hr, bb.  He's the guy from Texas Wesleyan who put up the most ridiculous stat line ever.  In 191 at bats, he hit .466/.512/995.  yep.  that's an ops of 1.507.  26hrs, and 23 doubles.  Granted, he's 23 in rookie ball but at orem so far he's got a 1.176 ops with 3hrs (4 total as he had one in arizona), 7bb, 5k.

Chris molina started out well and then got pounded 2nd time through the order.
