I find this statistic .....amazing?  A quick comparison; the two years that Babe Ruth spent significant time as both a pitcher and a hitter (1918, 166 IP, 382 PA & 1919, 133 IP, 543 PA).  During those two years, Babe had 234 hits, and allowed 273 hits.

Granted, Ohtani has only done it over a 3 game stretch in the majors, and in the Japanese league (AAAA). But still, very positive sign moving forward, and a metric to watch.

They stopped playing Buttercup last season and were going with YMCA and other singalongs.

Going today to see the new stadium upgrades in person.

Having the day after to refect on last night’s game, after watching GRich’s first inning, this was probably the most fun, exciting, least stressful game I can remember watching in quite a while. Great hitting with power spread through the lineup, no dumb base running, no lax defensive plays, no BP blowup. How fun!

i'll say again - if they're gong to play anything, it should be "Centerfield" by John Fogarty with a ton of Trout highlights thrown in. This is taylor made for him and for Angels fans.

Great song for Trouty but I think the idea is to play a song more upbeat (kid friendly) to get the fans up singing and dancing.

Today’s seventh inning stretch song was the Isley Brothers “Shout” ala Animal House. Thankfully, Cozart put an end to things before a second seventh inning stretch was required but not by much.
