Shifts are hilarious when they backfire. Freeman running from first on a hopper to infield grass. The shortstop playing on the right side throws to the second baseman covering first. The third baseman is standing behind the pitcher. Freeman trots into third. Nobody on the left side.

I always think that the shift is a sign of an incomplete batter. If the batter can't bunt to the left side (whether for lack of ability or pride), they deserve the tactic.
