Would you guys rather have Vlad Jr. or Ohtani?

I would pick Vlad Jr. Not that I don't think Ohtani won't be spectacular but seeing Guerrero's son play for the Angels in his formative years would special. Hall of Fame Dad would be in the stands every game and the fans would love it.

nope. And that's the problem.  You don't get many chances at a talent like that.  Top 5 draft pick.  Maybe 1 or 2 of the top international prospects.  They grow on trees like gold and scratch golf swings.  It's not about him going elsewhere, but that we had him.  easily.  it was a no brainer.

I think you may have missed the joke.

Vlad Jr simply because pitching prospects carry more risk in general. Both are elite prospects though, which is why you'll see both their names in the top 5 of every major top 100 prospect list

Vladdy Jr's bat just looks special though. It's rare for someone that young to walk more than they struck out while displaying power like he did in Low A/High A ball last season

Man you are stupid. He is only 19. As an 18 year old he hit 13 home runs between A and A+ ball. His father hit 16 home runs in A ball...  at the age of 20. This kid has not even grown into his body yet and he's crushing baseballs.

What you know of Vlad Sr is the 30 year old polished veteran, not the 19 year old kid that had yet to see major league pitching. As usual your mouth is flapping authoritaritively about something you know nothing about.

If Vlad Jr were with the Angels he would have a roster expansion call up at the end of this season and would be the starting third baseman in 2019 with Cozart moving to 2nd base.

What I'm trying to figure out is how you were able to type all that with so much Vlad Jr cock in your mouth.

From Baseball America:

Vladimir Guerrero, Jr., 3B, Blue Jays
Team: Double-A New Hampshire (Eastern)
Age: 19
Why He’s Here: .500/.545/.889 (9-for-18), 7 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 5 RBIs, 3 BB, 4 SO, 0-for-0 SB

The Scoop: It’s barely May, but we’re already beginning to run out of superlatives for Guerrero. One of his home runs during this Hot Sheet period registered an exit velocity of 117 mph, which would place him among the hardest-hit balls this year in the major leagues. He’s the youngest player in the Eastern League and leads the circuit in batting average by a wide margin, and places among the top five in both on-base and slugging percentage. (JN)

Also, not to derail Vlad Jr's thread, it's worth noting that our own 3B prospect in Double-A while nowhere near as talented and is older by a few years, Taylor Ward is putting up similar numbers.

Ward: .381/.479/.557 with 4 HR, 19 RBI, 5 SB (18 walks)

Guerrero Jr: .398/.455/.624 with 3 HR, 30 RBI, 0 SB (12 walks)

Just be glad Dipoto quit when he did, I guess.

Imagine how much worse things could have gotten if he stayed a couple more years...Probably wouldn't have Simmons or Ohtani

Dipoto did some real dumb shit. This one really stings, not just because we missed out on a star prospect, but because it's one of the best players in franchise history's son who has the same first name. He would have been an instant sensation in Anaheim the minute he arrived just for that.

At least he didn't go to the Dodgers or some other team that I hate

What is up with Ward's sudden ability to hit with power?
