Being stationed in Germany for six years gave me a deep appreciation for two things: beer and bratwurst (sausages) of all kinds.

This Brats and Beer Cheese Dip was born out of my love for this German fare and for hosting Super Bowl parties. Honestly, I have no clue about how football is played—I just love any reason to have a party.

This actually sounds good and no @Tank you can't replace the bratwust with tofu. I can see @calscuf in his garage with the Crock-Pot on a TV tray with a bowl of chips and cold German beer trying to watch the game behind the net he put up to keep the kids safe.

that depends on whether or not you want them . . . they're still available for FREE! as i've had them aging in my pantry for a few weeks to reach just that perfect balance of tastes great/less filling.
