Not a lot of power hitting 3Basemen who excel at defense that are available IMO.

If it happens it seems Arte gave Eppler full reigns this offseason, he wants to contend and we're beefing up to do it.

Kinsler and Headley are older and somewhat mediocre, but they likely upgrades (3B and 2B have been terrible lately)... on one year deals. I kinda like it, as opposed to signing Moustakas who is marginally better, at best.  I would have liked Hernandez, but you'd be selling low if you traded Skaggs right now.  Hernandez isn't a difference maker, so why not try to piece something together for a year.  

The Angels have already upgraded SP and DH.  Now 2B and 3B?   With better health, this team could be much improved.

Doc, you feeling alright? Kinsler is good at baseball, cost a latin arm and 11 mill, and is here for one year. I understand if you don't like his personality, but he is a good ball player. He may be 35 but he keeps his body in incredible shape.

I think Headley would match the Kinsler move.  Both provide players that shouldn’t be completely worthless.  Let’s be real when the angels have missed the result has been worthless players.  A bunch of times. The obligation is limited.  Hopefully they’re saving bullets for next year.

An #MLB insider who's familiar with Mike Moustakas' thinking said the #Angels are No. 1 on his wish list. GM Billy Eppler could pursue Moose, or he could roll with Luis Valbuena (22 HRS and a .199 batting average) at 3B and focus on adding a second baseman.
