We'll have to see what we traded, but as long as it's "very little," then this is a good move.  Preserves the farm.  I do wish we could have found someone who could anchor down the position long-term.  That said, it doesn't NECESSARILY rule out the possibility of Hernandez, either.  Kinsler can shift to 3B with Hernandez at 2B, if the Phillies lower their asking price.  That said, I'm not betting on that currently, so I'll take Kinsler as our new leadoff hitter at 2B.  Our 2B hole is filled for 2018 at least, so that's awesome.

2016 Kinsler was pretty good.

I guess worth a shot if no major prospect is going and Walker lands a 3-4 year deal.

Now the question is for whom? For some reason I'm guessing Jesus Castillo, but I hope not. I'm hoping more a salary dump for a fringe prospect - a Montgomery or Lund, or maybe Jake Jewell type.

Hell yeah! I like this deal. Especially for just 1 season. Kinsler is a huge upgrade even with a bad 2017 season. I can see him getting back close to his usual form in a show me contract year.

Back when I was a Laker fan (I no longer follow the NBA)... I hated it when the Lakers acquired Karl Malone and Gary Payton.

Acquiring Kinsler feels like that.
