Ozuna traded to Cards. Yelich will be traded.

Why would the Marlins want Calhoun? Yes, Yelich is owed more over five years, but Kole is still owed $33m over the next three years. And it isn't like Yelich can't be moved later on - he's only making $7M next year, so if he's moved now the price will be astronomical. Further, Yelich will make less than Kole over the next three years, so if the Marlins want to shed as much payroll as they can, Kole is a half-step backward.

I've tried to point this out several times but fan boys don't want think about the Marlins end of the deal.

More realistic if we throw in Pujols too

Cards got him for a single prospect?!?!?!?!.... Alcantara rated their 9th best prospect and that's IT?!?!??!.......

WOW!

Jeter must be looking to get exiled and sent back to the SKANKS! ....

I remember in the 70's the Commish stepped in on some deals when Charlie O'Finley was attempting to dismantle the A's.... They got dyck in return for Stanton (unless they are going to flip Castro) *** Call Jeter and offer him Cowart or Cron or Hermowhatever for Castro STRAIGHT UP!!!!!*** They got a single prospect for Ozuna.....

Jeet's must be working with some memory and confusion issues from Syphilis....

3 other prospects are involved but names havent been released.  Think its another pitcher and 2 OF.

^Yep, Blarg.

I think a more likely cost would be something like Jahmai Jones, Jaime Barria, and Chris Rodriguez - three top 10 prospects. Which, of course, the Angels wouldn't do.

We're not getting Yelich.

Bob Nightengale @BNightengale

The #Marlins will receive starter Sandy Alcantara, OF prospect Magneuris Sierra, RHP Zac Gallen and LHP Daniel Castano from #STLCards in Marcell Ozuna trade, reports @clarkspencer

That probably breaks down to Jahmai Jones, Barria, Castillo, and a low-level arm. That's still probably light compared to Marlins offer. I'll defer to @Scotty@AW for a true Angels prospect comp though.
