If Jones wins it means a massive plague killed most of the Alabama voters so I think Moore might be the better choice

They want the seat. That's it. If Moore wins, the Reps will turn on him and get him boosted out and put in a different guy of their's.

I'm not sure how much more harm Moore could do to the Republicans than they already have. I guess if they welcomed him into the Senate with open arms that would be worse.  But it seems so unlikely. If he loses then not only do they lose the seat but any chance to appear to take the extremely relative high road by at the very least pushing for his expulsion.

With the media "news" cycle being hour to hour these days, people seem to only focus on what's in front of them now and not yesterday's news.  If Moore loses, he becomes an old story within a day.  If he wins, however, he's an albatross the Dems can hang on the GOP in the run up to the midterms.  

That's my thought anyway.

Early exit polls have 55% of voters saying the pedo stuff isn’t a big deal to them.

I think at the time like less then 5000 votes were in. 

Since, Moore is actually polling better then people thought. 

Also, I’m not sure how losing to a pedophile is a good outcome for the democrats.  I don’t care what anyone says about political ammunition.  None of that shit seems to matter to a whole lot of people.  This is a shit a night for Alabama and a shit night for the United States.

The rout is on.  30% of the vote is in and Moore is up by 10 points.

Considering that Moore basically ran the same election as Trump with similar accusations and Trump won Alabama by 28 points, Moore winning in single digits is a good outcome

Somehow The NY Times is still giving Jones a 67% chance.  I guess because a lot of the democrat areas still are coming in. 

It has tightened tho.  50-48%

70% of the vote in.
