At this point, we have spent so little in acquiring Ohtani, Maitan, and even Upton really, I would not complain too much if Darvish came here. It'd surely displace a SP or two in trades for 2B/3B so it's just money spent a little differently while still achieving the same goal.

I'm still a big fan of Heaney....throw him in the mix and that is one hell of a top four starting rotation

Shoe, Bridwell, Trop Skaggs, Ramirez can hash it out for the #5 (and maybe #6) spot(s)

Ramirez and shoe can fill the long reliever spot in the pen.

See about moving Skaggs or Bridwell for Hernandez.

I mean...I know its far fetched, but can you imagine a full season of: Darvish-Richards-Ohtani-Heaney-Skaggs-Shoe (with Trop/brid slotted in for injury or if one gets traded, rameriez as an elite middle reliever, and Barria in the minors for backup). Framed by Maldinado catching on one side and Simmons catching behind them?

I'd definitely be okay with running out a 6 man rotation. Keep some of the pressure off the arms of Richardson, Heaney, Skaggs, Shoemaker, Tropeano, who have all dealt with major injuries and Ohtani and Bridwell who have never pitches close to 200 innings before. It will be interesting to see who makes the 5 man.

I think he wanted to stay away from teams that had established Japenese players.  Darvish wouldn't be established with the Angels.  However, I can see Darvish taking away some of the media spotlight in Japan.  Not sure how important that is to him.

I'd take Darvish at 5/120. Or something around there. I wouldn't go beyond 5 years, though.
