If they are up going into the ninth and it’s close he will come in for the save.

I dont think so. They have him for two more years and probably would like his arm not to be blown out. He's not a 25 year old anymore and has too many innings pitched already.

Mad Bum did all his heroics in his early 20's and now it has caught up with him at 27. Hershiser blew his arm out at 30 shortly after playing hero in the world series.

They have a bullpen stocked with cheap arms that won't be missed next season. Verlander would be. I doubt Verlander warms up.

How has it caught up with Bumgarner?  He pitched 200+ innings of madison bugarner quality the next two years.  The time he missed this year was because of a dirt bike accident in Colorado during an off day

Or they’ll look at it as their best chance to win their first championship and give him the ball.

I couldn't believe some of the Dodger fans interviewed last night leaving the stadium. There was one lady who said she's buying a ticket for tonight's game (cheapest ones were going for $1,100) and would not be able to pay her rent for the next two months. I'm sure her landlord will understand. There was also a man who said he was probably going to declare bankruptcy as he spent all his savings on World Series tickets. He was hoping to get one for tonight.

What's the matter with people anymore?!
