There was some talk yesterday that Roberts might sit Bellinger today since he didn't seem to have a clue at the plate.

His patience was rewarded. The kid turned it around just in time.

That was three innings ago. Eventually your using someone for the top of the 9th. All of the damage was the 9th. Giles choked again.

Yes but the closer remains the same guy. So it's not like he is being over used, Giles just stunk it up. 

Both starters were pulled too soon. It was ridiculous for Roberts to pull Woods after giving up a solo shot with only one out he needed to close out the 6th.

But that's what these managers are doing these days if your name isn't Kershaw or Verlander. I disagree with this tactic but that's the new normal for the post season.

This loss is totally on the Astros manager.

How do you bring in Giles and his 8.0 playoff ERA into that clutch situation? Hell, the Padres would have teed off on him.

I take it you are not one of those advocating for a shorter season. I like baseball the way it is. Come January I'm really anxious for the season to begin but it's still a ways off.
