As the biggest 2A supporter here, I support laws that require gun owners to, reasonably, keep them secured and away from people who are not legally allowed to own them. Even though firearms ownership is a right, it is also a huge responsibility. Especially if you have underage children.

Yes, there are federal laws that cover that. I believe it's the Federal Firearms Act of 1938
