Left handed starting pitcher = Scioscia platooning. Has it really worked this year?

Cowart is a switch hitter.  And Scioscia still wont play him against lefties.

How do you know he cant hit them if he never faces them?  I dont get it.

At AAA he had a higher batting average against LHP.

The last time the Angels faced a lefty was Monday, the Angels starting 2nd baseman, Cowart.

The weird thing is that I think the last lefty Cowart actually started against was Paxton. 

And Marte just needs to be DFA'd at this point. It's like Espinosa never left.

And Marte is hitting .161 against lefties over a much larger sample size. We do have a guy on the bench who normally starts at 2nd but his natural position is 3rd, what's his name again? Stewart? Cowgill? Hmmm

Valbuena doesn't play tonight because he sucks against lefties. Can't hit lefties to save his life. In fact, outside of this recent hot stretch that he has been on, he has sucked for basically the whole year.  #PlayCronMore
