I was just reading about Len Barker's perfect game in 1981. He never went to a 3-ball count on a batter in that game. In his career he was under .500.

The big news on June 3rd was the sudden retirement of New York Giants manager John McGraw after thirty years of running the team. Ten pennants, three World Series titles, 10 second place finishes. Only two seasons under .500. McGraw retired due to illness and died two years later.
