#Angels will not see Scherzer in their 2-game series in DC Weds, Tue-Weds. Looks like Gonzalez, Roark. (Skaggs, Nolasco for Angels)

----------------------------

Too bad Scribner can't be recalled in time to pitch in DC. Nolasco has disaster written all over him.

Just be thankful we miss Scherzer, he has been God-like this season.

DFA'd today so that Andrew Bailey could come up from WAS.

I seriously hope he clears waivers.

Same here. We've rarely had that much excitement as Angels fans as the day he made his debut.

Well, there's Trout on a nightly basis, but you know what I mean.

Watch Dipoto claim him just to fuck the Angels.

Considering he hadn't been in the majors ever before, I would think he had options.  They probably needed his 40 man spot since bailey was on the 60 day dl

optioned 2012, 2013 & 2014.

Ok it makes sense now.  You would think this would be brought up during union negotiations, but maybe they don't care.  You would think a fringe player would get an additional option or two with a new club.  It seems that it really hurts a fringe player.

I remember a pitcher that the Angels signed that hadn't played in several years a few years back. He had one option left.  After that year, they lost him when he the Angels tried to send him down (claimed by another club).  If I remember correctly his career ended after that year.  With an additional option he might have been able to go the majors a couple more times.
