Damn. What a drag. Guy was super talented. Amazing songwriter, guitarist, and singer. Anybody who hasn't seen it should check out the documentary about him from a couple of years ago called, "I'll Be Me." Shows his struggles with the disease and it also shows him playing some amazing gigs when he was having good days. It's streaming on Netflix. He was one of the most amazing guitarists I've ever seen play live. R.I.P.

Saw him live in Laughlin, Nevada March 1, 2007 at the Riverside Casino. Tremendous guitar player and put on a terrific show.

my first "favorite" musician. As talented a guitar player as there ever was.

my dad used to hang around the set of glen campbells show, and ended up going to several tapings. He brought me along once, but because I was younger than the minimum age, I was to tell anyone who asked that I was a couple years older. Fortunately it never came up, but I felt kind of mavericky that night.

plenty of GC songs in my playlists. He just made good music, lots and lots of it. This is a huge loss.

he was also the name and host of the L.A. open golf tournament for several years.
