i don't get the point of airing it out and making a huge deal about it.  Bad PR.  No one would have given a fuck if the league doesn't react.  Joyce probably made that fans day giving him  a response.

Similar thing happened to Ryan Getzlaf during the NHL playoffs this year.  He called some dude on the other team a fag, a camera caught him and the league made this big stink about it and made him apologize.  I guess he got fined also.

These are like one off things, just move on.  I'm sure gay people aren't that hurt by an athlete dropping the fag bomb in a heated moment.

The distribution of demographics ensures that. But this particular trait is remarkably diverse. But I think the precedent has been more than established by this point. Say the magic word, sit a few games. Because God knows someone is going to be upset and let the league know about it.
