There is a very real chance that LA gets boned in this process. The city is on the hook for any deficiencies.  And I don't believe for a second the article's comment about "no new infrastructures being built in LA".

 

Cant wait to see what they do with the homeless encampments all over the city.

Baseball will almost for sure be in the 2028 olympics...i wonder if theyll somehow work games in to dodger or angel stadium?

Dodger Stadium is in better shape than Angels Stadium IMO.

Not sure if this is based on "official" venue list, or projected. Does appear that this is primarily an LA County affair. Think I had read that as well.

Of the Venues.  I think Riviera is the biggest mistake and lost opportunity.  They could have really made it a statement and put it at the LA Country Club, which has two courses.  Biggest complaint of the Rio games was it was just one match/medal.  For some pros, like most of the top ones, it wasn't worth the hassle.  With two courses, you could have a number of events, mens and womens at the same time, and a lot of 2 and 4 team events.  You could have really taken up all 17 if not more days full of golf.  With just one course, you are stuck with the mens on one weekend, and the womens on another weekend.
