Not even close to what we see in California. I don't think there is a state that has as big of a lopsided super majority that California has.

there's a proposal in the state legislature to eliminate either lincoln's or washington's birthday and replace itswith a recognition of socialism.

so to answer your question, yes, we are experiencing one party rule with no balance in sacramento.

We don't get both, only one day for President's Day. The Columbus Day holiday was eliminated years ago in favor of the Martin Luther King holiday. One holiday we get that others don't is Nevada Day, at the end of October. It's the anniversary of statehood.

we only get president's day as well, so i'm not sure why both bdays were mentioned by whoever was speaking about it. we have admission day in september, but only the banks and post office seem to celebrate it.
