Our gutty overachieving heroes pretty much failed against Edwin Jackson. Now we're asking them to humble Gio Gonzales, who might be a 1 on more than a few teams and at least a 2 on a number of others.

The Angels caught a break with Scherzer and Strasburg. What's the rotation outlook for the return matchup in DC?

Well, it's a lefty on the mound so Cron plays. He gets to play every now and then when there's a lefty. Platoon, you know. The other guy who we signed for two years and is hitting a buck sixty-seven against right-handers plays most of the time. Go figure.

And Cron in the cleanup spot, no less. Nothing like a little added pressure on the young man.
