No All-Star Game thread??

Definitely a bummer that there were no Angels in the game.

The only games I care about this week are the ones where Mike Trout plays, and Game of Thrones.

If you didn't watch you're not really a fan of the game. Pitching and defense should dominate hitting.

Which one of the following is true?

1. All teams no longer need a representative at the all star game.

2.Trout is regarded as the Angels representative even though he wasn't there.

Were the Angels the only team without a player on the All  Star roster.?

I think the lowly Angels were the only team not represented in the game. The Cubs got Wade Davis in there. The Angels are the laughing stock of the league.

Unless this rule has changed this year, all teams needed to have at least one player on the all star roster.

If the rule changed this year, than it has never happened until now.

This doesn't seem like a fair implementation of the rule since Trout was not on the roster.

I'm pretty sure the AL wanted to win so that was probably a factor why no other Angel made the squad.

That proves the point that this game is fixed.  They should end this mess right now, and never play another All Star Game.

It was a joke because someone said his homers these days, even when they give us a lead are boring.  My favorite you moment was when you called his homer in the ninth meaningless, then the Angels scored 5 or 6 more runs in the ninth so win the game.

I am old enough to remember when the NL had a huge advantage in the 60s and 70s because they had all the best players. Free agency seemed to change that. Now, since the 90s, most of the best players seem to be in the AL.
