But it was still just one bad postseason/series and one of the main reason to not label Trout as a "choker". Like every great players have bad postseason or series in their careers, including those who are considered "clutch" by everyone.

Your obsession with Trout is downright creepy.

Face it he hasn't done good under pressure so far in his career.  It's a pattern with him at this point.  Terrible in the playoffs, if he had tore it up you wouldn't be screaming small sample size.  His performance in high leverage situations this season barely exceeded that of Albert.  Terrible September this year but as soon as they were officially out of it he had a great couple games.  If you look at his career numbers his OPS peaks in June, goes down in July, then lower yet in August, and his worst month is September.  That's a six year average, not a "small sample size". That's a definite trend at this point. Hopefully he outgrows this.  But it can no longer be denied.  He's choking until he proves otherwise.

His slash line in high leverage situations were a lot better than Pujols. 3 games in the postseason is a small sample size, troll. 15 plate appearances isn't a small sample size? You're an idiot if you think it is a big sample size. September is his "worst" month and yet, his career OPS is like .900. He's had good months of September before in his career, so it's not like he's always been shitty in that month. Most guys would love to have an OPS that high. And during this month of September, he still had an OPS over .800, so it wasn't like he swung the bat like Pujols this season.

Trout led the league in Win Probability Added, by about 50 percent, even though he missed a quarter of the season.

Yeah, there you go. Trout's career slash line in high leverage situations are outstanding at .311/.422/.578. But of course, you have idiots who will always bring up his postseason in 2014 to prove that he is not good under pressure.

Why are we discussing Mike Trouts’ postseason heroics while he’s busy planning his wedding and taking in some golf, fishing and hunting. It seems like a pointless discussion since he hasn’t participated in the postseason since 2014. We have no idea what he would do in any future postseasons until he actually plays in them.

Anyone want to take the under?

Trout never struck out four times in a playoff game.

This is a bad omen. The only Yankees ever to strikeout 4 times in a postseason game were Bonham 1941, Mantle 1953 and Damon 2009. They all still won championships in those seasons.

Yankees suck!

a few notable playoff appearances:

Babe Ruth 1922 - 2/17 1rbi, 1CS.  .426 ops

Barry Bonds 1990 - 3/18.  .542 ops.  1991 - 4/27. .392 ops (his first two playoff appearances)

Mickey Mantle 1961 - .333 ops, 1962 - .401 ops, 1963 - .521 ops.

Willie Mays - had a career .660 ops in 25 playoff games.

Ty Cobb - .668 ops in 17 career playoff games

Ted Williams only playoff appearance - 5/30 with 1 rbi and a .533 ops.

It's funny, but I don't remember hearing about most of these performances.

Well, Willie Mays had The Catch--so he had that going for him.

Judge 2-4 with a walk, a HR, 3 runs and 2 RBI's in the WC game.  Not bad for a rookie.

How about Altuve's 2015 postseason slash line? I guess he "choked" as well.

Updates, please
