Shoemaker on the DL, Parker Bridwell takes his start Tuesday 50-50. Nolasco on Wed. 1 loss. Chavez goes on Thur. 50-50, making 2 losses.

On to Boston. Meyer on Friday evens road trip at 2-2. Saturday Ramirez 50-50. Sunday Bridwell again 50-50. hopefully we are at least 3-3 before going to LA. We will be lucky to go 5-5 over the next 10 games. I will be hoping to do much better though.

Then their season is over. This stretch of games against really good teams will make or break their season. I don't think they have the firepower without Trout to overcome their struggles in the starting rotation.

At the very least 0-10 would clear up any uncertainty or false hope. We are 11.5 games out of first place but only 3 games out of last place. They need to make up their minds on which direction they're headed and I think this road trip will help them decipher that.

What's crazy is that even the WORST AL team currently is only 4.5 games behind the 2nd WC spot.

I've never seen anything like this first half in the AL, where NO ONE is more than 7 games under .500.   Meanwhile, three NL teams are all sucking it up (at least 14 games under .500).

And for those keeping score, the AL is routing the NL in interleague games so far, 23 games over .500.

Not sure what to make of it....NL has some teams that are clearly rebuilding (Braves, Reds) and some others who can't seem to figure out how to rebuild (Phils, Marlins, Padres).....AL is just more competitive right now....

Bridwell is scheduled to pitch for the Bees tonite in SL and tomorrow in New York for the Angels. I guessing he will be scratched from his start in AAA.

The Angels have never won a series at the new Yankees Stadium. Also the Yankees are slumping so that's a guaranteed 0-3 right there.
