on June 15th.

I'll get excited if they're 0.5 game back on September 15th.

But still, not bad.

Agreed, but the expert consensus before the season, said we should be buried in the cellar by now. When Trout went on the DL we were expected to fold up the tents. No one expected us to compete before the season, and with the injures to key players including Richards, Skaggs, Cam, and especially Trout, we should have fallen apart, but we somehow have found away to win three straight series against some of the best teams in baseball. Who knew.

Much of the credit must go to Eppler, who turned a bull pen, that was supposed to be below average to one of the best in baseball. ESPN said they were the second best at stopping inherited runners from scoring. Also who thought we could sustain all this injures to the pitching. Eppler create enough depth to replace them. Replacing Trout was thought to be an impossible task but so we have been able to.

This team has a lot HEART.

Obviously Stradling, Brandon and Blarg all need sensitivity training with their outburst because it certainly appears that Calhoun shorthopped it off the wall. It's a very shorthop but it definitely made contact with the wall. Must be some kind of magic mitt.

Fuck off, with all due respect.

Better?

Erick I thought better of you. If you read my original post there was nothing negative about it. I just agreed with the ruling. You taking that content to a personal F-U level is way out of line. I would never disrespect another poster to a level like that and won't choose to stoop to that level now even though I should.

Again though, the issue is that the call was too close to call, to overturn the original call on the field.  Looking at it via TV's slo-mo, it appears that the webbing flips back towards Calhoun just as the ball is about to hit the wall.

The question is not, did the ball hit the wall.   It is, was it indeed too inconclusive to overturn the original on the field call?   To me, that answer is yes.

Sensitivity training?  Whatever..

Look, you developed and cultivated a contrarian, "glass-is-half-empty" persona intended on injecting misery and pessimism wherever any sense of joy or enthusiasm attempts to take root and it's grown threadbare.  What initially starts as "Come on, dude" ends in "F*ck off, is because its literally the 100th+ time it has happened. Case in point, this thread - they are now 0.5 game out of a playoff spot but your focus is the 11 games out of the division lead so "why does all this matter".

And Clod, that picture wasn't available last night went you "saw" it.  Your "opinions" are a complete fucking joke.  You admittedly come on here to stir up shit.  So when you are called out for it, take it like a man and don't be a bitch.

With all due respect.

Well I certainly didn't disrespect anyone with this post. The reaction was way over the top.

The umpires are in New York and probably live there. They may have been Yankee fans all their lives and now they are the deciding party for all challenges including the Yankees. Maybe they should move the replay central to a neutral city say Geneva Switzerland.

Or a call center in India.

Definitely a hometown call for the Skanks.

Was there a chance the ball made contact with the wall? Yes.

Did the ball actually make contact with the wall? Probably not.

Under MLB's rules regarding overturning calls on replay, was this call reasonable? Absolutely not.

Nope, but it's cool, the replay officials and ONE other guy in the world saw it.
