I think that among the Bernie supporters there is a segment of society that has become desperate and are hoping for someone to come along and save them from their miserable lives. The whole "blame the rich" thing really rings true to some people who have worked for years at low-paying jobs with no hope for advancement, or those who have worked and then lost their job. Some of these people are probably at the end of their rope.

The weird thing is though, the GOP is not the reason that Bernie didn't become president. They should be blaming Hillary/DNC/corrupt media for torpedoing Sanders' chances.

That's true but it's not a fact that exists in a vacuum. Simple googling reveals that there's more to it than that. That article and site is just as guilty of trying to create a narrative as other ones saying exclusively that this was a Trump supporter thing. It's so curious, right?

I agree there is bias everywhere but the fact still remains that he voted for Bernie and he's not some right wing nut that the people of Portlandia want to portray him as.

I mean, there's the Hitler comparison which is often used to label some on the right (I haven't heard it used to describe the left), and he was a socialist. National Socialist Workers' Party.  Those on the far right in America definitely do not like socialism. Now Hitler was further 'right' than the communists, that's a given. But still, these terms seem to be used more as pejoratives to hurl at those on the opposing side of our argument.
