Congratulations to Vlad. He's the first Angel to have played since the retirement of Tim Salmon to be honored.

Trout will get to look up on the wall and see 27 for maybe the next 15 years, whether he's an Angel or something else, before it is finally retired once and for all time.

Why do the Angels put their retired numbers above the bathroom?

Why was Trout able to get #27 so quickly after Vlad wasn't brought back?  Most people could tell just from watching him that he was special. Nobody wears #15 after Salmon, albeit Salmon was home grown and played his whole career with us.  But he wasnt as good as Vlad.  When he gets to the MLB HOF the Angels should definitely retire his number even with Trout still wearing it.
