Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Astros (5/7)

Recommended Posts

If I was Scioscia, I'd drop Pujols and Hamilton to the 8th and 9th spot.  if someone is on when they're AB, have them bunt.

This is too much to witness.

tdawg said it best: Hamilton should bat benchth.  But yeah, almost agree with you.  Pujols seventh, Iannetta eighth, Hamilton ninth.

If it is not one thing it is another with this group. Playing defense the way they do just shows how unprepared and unfocused this team is. That falls squarely on the shoulders of the manager. If you were not already convinced it was time you should be now. The Angels will lose tomorrow night as well when Bud Norris faces Joe Blanton as Norris is a far far far better starter that game will not be close. This was the game for the Angels to win, easy win, and they have they heads so far up they ass. It is time to let it go. Bye bye Scoscia, you had a nice run. Honestly the only reason he is the longest tenured Manager in the game is because he should have been fired atleast 4 seasons ago when the constant failure by this team was already old. Now it is just laughable and it's time to end it, you cannot even argue against it anymore. We must all face the facts and move on with our lives.

know this has likely already been commented on -- but GEEZ -- lot of empty seats in Houston.

Looks like a pretty nice ballpark, too - although the outfield nooks and cranies are a little weird.

Thought Shuck (was it Shuck out there) mis-played that one flyball out there earlier that wound up being a run scoring double or something -- a guy who plays the field out there on a regular basis catches that ball.

Now Rojas comments about Lowe throwing this hitter a change down and low so the guy can almost whack it out of the ballpark (just foul).........I do like it when Victor Rojas calls it like he's sees it on stuff like that --- am glad Halos give him the freedom to do that --- makes the broadcast better and believable......

Shuck used to be the left fielder for the Astros in 2011. Shuck shucks.

That double was high off the wall in a weird little corner. No one catches that ball.

After this loss and this game with Conger's 3 errors actually causing the loss -- do you think a roster change may be made when the team gets back to Anaheim?

Nice Ayber-Kendrick turn two for us -- Harris isn't out there for 'defensive' purposes obviously.

Last gasp coming up -- in this ballpark -- it's doable..........but then could our pen hold them if we somehow took the lead?
