From 1990 to 2014.  Trends in CO2 emmissions.

The good.

  • US down 3.1 tonnes down.  16 percent down.
  • EU28 2.5/27
  • Russia 3.7/23

Then you have the bad.

  • China 5.5 tonnes up.  262 percent up.
  • South Korea 6.1/98
  • Mexico 0.3/10
  • Japan 0.5/5

Conclusion.  Paris Accord is all about white guilt.  :P

Asians have ruined more Accords than anyone else on the planet.

Yeah, that's not how opinion pages work, the op/ed pages usually present pieces from multiple sides of the political spectrum.

Posting the article...fine...attributing it to the official position of the "LIb" LA Times...not quite accurate

If you'd like to know the actual position of the LA Times Editorial Board

If Trump withdraws from the Paris agreement, let's hope the world survives

The clearest evidence yet that Trump is turning the U.S. into a force for bad in the world

"Turning into"?  You are kidding, right?  We haven't been good for the world in over 50 years.

the loss of the platform is unfortunate.

The United States of America lost a platform to be able to negotiate with other counties?  Wow!  That is bad!  I had no idea.

Why can't we?

I just don't see Trump suddenly caring about the environment.  Sure we can negotiate for a better deal, but what if leadership thinks the whole thing is a hoax?

Anyway...

https://www.zillow.com/research/climate-change-underwater-homes-12890/

"Nationwide, almost 1.9 million homes (or roughly 2 percent of all U.S. homes) – worth a combined $882 billion – are at risk of being underwater by 2100. And in some states, the fraction of properties at risk of being underwater is alarmingly high. More than 1 in 8 properties in Florida are in an area expected to be underwater if sea levels rise by six feet, representing more than $400 billion dollars in current housing value. In Hawaii, almost 1 in 10 homes are at risk."

No way, you live on a hill or what you will be calling a scenic overview of the ocean when you sell that place for $25 million to some toolsy middle infielder with the Angels.

Think of it as "redistribution of wealth"

This will infuse the economy with jobs to build homes, sell homes, furnish homes, etc.
