i'm mixed on farm systems because most guys don't make it. on the flip side, i'm 100% against paying guys for past performances like we did with albert.

A strong farm does allow for smart trades to be made.   A balance between home grown players and acquired players is not a bad one to achieve. 

+infinity on not giving big contracts to players not far away from decline, Pujols' exaggerated crouch cried out knees and feet being shot soon and Hackilton's past cried out huge decline soon.
