He's been fantastic since we acquired him. They turned him back into a starter and he has delivered. Three starts in AA, three starts and a relief appearance in SLC, and:
28.2 IP, 19 H, 4 ER, 2 HR, 3 BB, 26 K, 0.86 WHIP, 1.46 ERA

Hoping that whomever recommended trying Ramirez in the rotation is the same guy who spotted Bridwell.

My hope as well..   If they can find a couple SPs in a lost season -- all the better.

Last time Big Sexy pitched in angel stadium it was a hot Sunday afternoon game when he was with the Mets and he got bombed for 3 or 4 home runs. I was there. Idk why I remember that lol

The Angels will be the panacea for what ever ails Colon. Without Trout this lineup is as wimpy as it gets.

When the shine is off and you're not the promising guy of 20 or 21, you need to seize the chance when you get it....Ramirez, Eckstein...it can be done....just don't miss your chance...

That could prove to be another silver lining if the loss of Trout dooms our season. Selling off or dumping Escobar, Espinosa, Pennington, Street, Nolasco, Chavez, Revere, Maybin, Norris, Petit, etc. could open the door for a lot of opportunity Aug/Sept. Opportunity for Cowart, Sherm, Middleton, Paredes, Nate Smith, Banuelos, Bridwell and whomever we acquire to take the job and run with it. 

I wonder if, or when, we sell, if we see some of the focus (not all, prospects will still rule) on the return shift towards players like Ramirez, Marte, Bridwell, Magnifico, Maldonado, Hernandez...guys who are under the radar on other teams but could step into a role with the Angels immediately. Guys like Mark Zagunis, Rob Refsnyder, Alec Asher, Greg Garcia, etc.
