Bad shit just follows this franchise around. I'm on board with tanking now. No way we stay competitive without the MVP

 

This franchise has had more bad luck than any other. It's getting to the point where it's undeniable

 

I could write an essay about all the strange bad luck this team has had over the last few decades and I bet if you compared it to other teams it would be astounding

 

The only time I felt like this franchise wasn't cursed was from 2002-April 2009 - right up until Nick Adenhart died --RIP)

hovering around .500 with Trout having an amazing start.  

This ship has been taking on water all year and we just slammed into an iceberg.  

Even though injuries have killed us the last two years, it's impossible to know what this team is or more specifically, what it could be.  

Are we ever going to be healthy?  Can our injured pitchers be counted on going forward?  Tough sell at this point.

The silver lining if we can call it that is that with Trout out it's unlikely they try to make trades for to try to reach the post-season.  They also won't be sending out the wrong message to the locker room if they roll up the white flag and sell everyone that isn't going to be here in 2018 and beyond...   The players have to know what's up...  Maybe now we see Cowart get a chance to show he deserves to be on the team..

Why would Cowart play because of an injury to Trout?
