Huh? What does Pujols have to do with Trout DHing today? 

There were 3 options:

1. He plays CF (AP would have nothing to do with this)

2. He sits on the bench ( Pujols would have nothing to do with this)

3. He DHs. ( Pujols has nothing to do with this)

It's f'n ridiculous. One of the days off was after 1 week of the start of the season,too.

I've been wondering this. It honestly looks weird when you compare our record to anyone else in the league. You compare to our division, and we've played 2 more than texas, seattle, and houston, 3 more than oakland. You look at our wild card chase, and we've played 4 more than cleveland and boston. I mean like, good thing this team doesn't have a problem with injuries, otherwise this would be a bitch, right? :/

Pujols has the 3rd highest OPS on the team in May. (144 pts higher than he had in April)

How the hell does that make sense?  You honestly think Albert needed a day off so Mike shuffled Trout?  Sorry but that a fucking joke that you are way too smart to actually think makes sense.  This is about keeping Trout fresh, since they have so few days off so far.

But at least Trout got another hit. Took a good throw from Souza to get him even while playing shallow. Dude has always been great. In May, he is getting on base at 50% clip in over 70 plate appearances.

This is not the 1970's era astroturf of the Vet or Three Rivers, which was no more than a sheet of astroturf laid down on concrete.

Today's artificial turf is much thicker, on a bed of rubber nuggets.

I didn't realize such precautions were needed for a 26 year old CF after three games on the fake stuff.
