I think you need to alter that to include backs and obliques....   Lats (Street), groins (Bedrosian) too.

Fun fact, here's Daniel Wright's numbers in his last three starts as an Angel.
17 IP, 16 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 12 K, 2 HR, 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP

Yeah, he's done surprisingly well in his recent spot starts.  Funny thing is, if and when he gets hurt, we likely get to see Scribner or Bridwell.  Epp did one hell of a job of creating real depth.

Two against Houston, one against Toronto.

Like Ramirez, he gets his chance to step up and carve out a spot....Meyer hasn't been able to do that (yet)....obviously the injury is a factor but he was pretty so-so in the spring and at SLC.....

Going a little further, Wright really hasn't been all that terrible overall as an Angel when used as a starter

6 GS, 31.2 IP, 35 H, 16 ER, 5 HR, 8 BB, 18 K, 4.55 ERA, 1.36 WHIP
9.1 H/9, 2.3 HR/9, 2.4 BB/9, 5.1 K/9

That's acceptable for a spot starter. Obviously would like to see Scribner get a chance soon, but he isn't on the 40, and while Bridwell is, he likely isn't stretched out enough yet to give the Angels what they'd like to see in a spot start.

Bridwell has thrown 6 innings. He's stretched out when they want him.

Let the showcasing begin. June is usually the month that you decide if you're going to be a buyer or seller.

I believe you're a seller when there is separation between you and playoff teams in late June early July.  You're a buyer if there is no separation.  So if in two months we are one game out of a wild card spot like we are today, they won't be selling.  They could shuffle the deck and trade a Cron/Escobar/Marte for an arm, but they won't sell if they are that close to a wild card.  Sorry amigo.

Maybe just not right timing then? He's been impressive so far.

A lot of this has to do with whose turn it is in the rotation when the need arises.

Wright was scheduled to start on Monday and he was scratched when this became a possibility.

Bridwell had just pitched on Sunday, I believe.

Yes, I'm sure that they're showcasing Daniel Wright for a big trade.

Well at this point he's either going to produce as a major leaguer and become a chip or we don't need him at all. That goes for all of the players on the bubble in our system.

So we continue on course, come up a few games short of the second wild card, then tank next year, followed by several more average-to-below players being added to the team? Rinse and repeat?

Oh ffs this is just plain ridiculous at this point. Just bulldoz the damn stadium already and move some where native Americans never buried anyone on. If they have to,  build a damn island off of Newport Beach and stick a stadium there.

They would just build the island over a shipwreck and you know it.
