Maldonado may not hit a lick but he's solid behind the plate and can sure wipe out those base runners.

Anything you get out of him offensively is a big bonus. He's going to save/win a bunch of games for you behind the plate.

If you watch that Ragai steal attempt -- Rajai got a great jump (on the pitcher)........Maldonado's throw made up for the great jump.

Now, the Warriors (who were the first team to make plans to bolt Oakland -- they're heading to a SF area next year) and Stephen Curry and company are playing right next door tonight.........but Geez - new season, you've got the best player in MLB in town and you can't fill the best seats or any seats for that matter?

that's why heading north to watch an A's - Angels game makes sense - can get better walk up seats there than a season seat at Anaheim........although, I think Halos may be in for some attendance blues of their own this season........
