i'm okay with doing this. in '84, they pushed hard to have businesses work something other than 8-5 hours so that traffic could flow smoothly. a lot companies participated, and the freeways were free and clear for two and half weeks. it was pretty nice.

In 1984 they had to do a Vice sweep to make Hollywood international tourist friendly. Now they have to do a homeless sweep so LA doesn't look like some third world sithole. Much more daunting task.

I was in Seoul right before the '88 Games and they were doing serious vice sweeps and even shut down all the happy ending barber shops. They also had to clean up some protesters and they aren't nice about it. I even got some second hand tear gas
