Here’s a desalination idea: Denim holds all salt in the fabric if submerged in saline fluid.  So we encourage more Mexicans to swim at the beach.  On their way out we wring the jeans and collect the fresh water body odor.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Any info other than what the article says?

I guess the guy got out of a car and just started stabbing people. Just a random act. Bill was a good guy and the last person to start a fight. Below is the last pic of him before the incident.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-firearms-tax-prompts-second-185410818.html

A consortium of Second Amendment advocacy groups and two residents filed suit seeking to block California’s new 11% excise tax on firearms, parts and ammunition.

The case, Jaymes v. Maduros, alleged that the Supreme Court has previously ruled that constitutional rights should not be subject to taxation, and sought to block the tax that went into effect July 1.

This will be in state court and there’s no way the State Supreme Court will side with gun owners. I will be shocked if they do.

Sadly one of my best friends passed away and was an extremely talented artist with a gift for the sublime. He could have condensed several of Newsom's disasters into a single coin.

I'm disappointed.  No crazy train on any of those coin renderings.

Well, there actually is no train at this point, it hasn't been ordered. There is hardly any track and it has no destination at this point with 10 more years projected for completion.

But to imagine it, think of a train boiler fire been stoked by Newsom shoveling billions into the furnace and the pressure regulator not moving.

We need to keep building, especially to house the homeless.

California to impose permanent water restrictions on cities and towns

when my wife retires, we're moving out of state. we want to move to somewhere that's less expensive to live. we also want to be somewhere where we don't have to worry about water and power, two things that california is going to be problematic about. we live next to an ocean but can't figure out a cost-effective way to desalinate the water. our power companies turn off our electricity when the temperature gets too high in some areas. they're pushing electric cars on us, which isn't a good idea. this will end up being more about control than it is about saving the environment, and that won't end well for residents of what used to be such a great state.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/sacramento-city-attorney-reportedly-threatened-fine-target-store-reporting-theft-crimes

The City of Sacramento, California’s legal department threatened to fine a popular retail store for public nuisance over numerous calls to police after thieves stole from its Land Park location multiple times, according to a report.

The Sacramento Bee reported that a person with knowledge of the warning who wanted to remain anonymous out of fear they could be retaliated against, said Sacramento officials warned they would issue an administrative fine to the Target at 2505 Riverside Boulevard in Land Park, during the past year.

California State University, Stanislaus criminal justice professor Blake Randol told the Sacramento Bee he found the situation in Sacramento to be disconcerting. He told the publication the city has a responsibility to help residents, and if the city were to threaten public nuisance for reporting crimes, it could deter a business from making a report.

Randol also said city officials may issue warnings to make it look like crime statistics are going down.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/l-robber-avoided-prison-stealing-100038253.html

"The alleged leader of an armed robbery crew charged with killing a New Zealand tourist last week outside Newport Beach's Fashion Island mall had been placed on probation for stealing a Rolex at gunpoint in Santa Monica.

He avoided prison time in that case after Los Angeles County prosecutors agreed to a three-year suspended sentence, according to interviews and records reviewed by The Times."

Another life lost because LA courts don't uphold the law and hold people responsible for their actions.

“How are you going to pay for it? Where are the billions of dollars going to come from

This state has so many people dependent on them now that cuts are going to be very tough. Obviously, they should stop paying for illegals here so that would probably save a good amount. Make policies that encourage businesses to set up shop I. The state.
