I think the Republicans are only hurting their party by voting for Trump. It just encourages further devolution of the party platform - whatever that is.

That is the core problem of the republican party,  they are rudder less and it opened the door for tea party wackos with their Bible belt head in the sand demand for 1950's moral codes. It leaves them no room to move towards a business/economic platform when all they can do is spend time defending moral philosophy instead if core issues that the chief executive is supposed to be involved in.

For me it's about the Supreme Court. A vote for Johnson is a vote for Hillary, so I won't do that. 

The Donald gets my vote.

Supreme Court appointments aside, the only other plus for giving Trump the vote is that he would be the lamest of ducks on day one.
