It's extremely close.  You can't even tell from that screenshot if his fingers are touching the plate.

Yeah it was very close and sounds like they couldn't determine whether his hand had touched home or not.

Gonzalez was safe IMO. His hand got in there. 

No I don't think the catcher did it intentionally but it's still absurd to go after the player instead of protecting the plate.

he had to go get the ball and he's not allowed to block the plate until the ball gets there
