I was watching the debate for a while. Why was Weaver done at 5 innings and 75 pitches?

Weaver is now 4-1 with a 3.63 ERA over his last 7 starts - including 34 K in 39.2 IP. He also had a 3.50ish ERA in July.

Bailey has a 2.61 ERA as an Angel, with 6 for 6 in saves.  7 Ks in 10 IP, 0.87 WHIP.

Real interested to see what happens with Weaver. Looks like he is scheduled to start last game of the year. Just as I can see him returning next year, I can also see him deciding this is it and announcing he's retiring at the end of the season. He's not the 'retirement tour' type and while he has come on stronger of late, you can tell he hasn't been happy with his performance the past two seasons, the team may not be competitive next year, the team may not have a guaranteed rotation spot for him next year, and he's got young kids now.
