It is a commemorative patch for Kole Calhoun's One Man Stage Show of How to Blow the World Series.

So, apparently some of us missed the memo, because this year was the 50th Anniversary of the Angels being called the California Angels, but NOT at the beginning of the season, and NOT at Angel Stadium. The name change happened on September 2nd, 1965. It was the NEXT year Angel Stadium opened in 1966, which was the first season here with that name, so I figure they'll be wearing the patch through next season? Because next season is the official 50 years? Or this year was but they wanted to get a jump on the hat sales early? Even though it says 1966-2016 and next year is 2017?

I guess you gotta find some way to celebrate?

None of it's been explained, it all seems so dumb, and I don't get it either. Maybe one of the longdicks here (Blarg) can demean us while he explains.

Not to mention none of it means anything when you have one of the highest payrolled teams in the league, competing with a team like the Diamondbacks for first to 90 losses. The Angels suck balls no matter their name, no matter where they play, and no stupid commemorative patch on the hat is going to fix that.
