Pretty disturbing.

Pipe bombs are so easy to assemble...with the ones found in NJ earlier today; I wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of trial run for some whack jobs. Thankfully no one seems to be mortally wounded.

@Angels_Make_Me_Drink That's what I'm wondering too.  Whether Boston was a trial run.  Luckily, their registration was late, so the race didn't go off yet.  But it sounds like it was times to go off when the runners would have been going by. 

It really does sound like we have a serial bomber.  Just too coincidental that two explosives happened on the same day.

@gotbeer, not only the same day but pretty much the same vicinity. I think you meant NJ not Boston...hopefully NYPD and the FBI get to the bottom of this very fast.

NYC Mayor de Blasio says the bomb doesn't appear to be related to terrorism, but was intentional. So, in other words, domestic terrorism.

Fox News reporting that NYPD is on the scene of a second device...believed to be in a pressure cooker. The same type of device used in the Boston Bombings.

The bomb in NJ earlier today could have harmed a lot of people, but the race had been delayed for an unrelated reason and nobody was at that spot when it exploded.

And tonight's explosion did not cause any life-threatening injuries, although one person's condition is listed as "serious".

Something to be thankful for, but still...very scary.

Well, they're at it in Minnesota tonight. Eight people stabbed at a mall in St. Cloud. An off-duty policeman shot the attacker dead. Muslim, Allah, the works.

1. Wiped out by Hurricane Sandy

2. Boardwalk destroyed by major fire

3. Yesterday's bomb incident

Agreed. Governor Coumo came out and said it was an obvious act of terrorism. Granted it hasn't been labeled as Islamic terrorism...yet, but I agree with Coumo...Islam or not, a bomb going off is terrorism. 

Good news is that all 29 injured people have been released from the hospital.
