The Angels are still alphabetically ahead of the A's in the standings, although Oakland is going for a 4-game sweep of reigning World Series champion KC tonight and the standings may change.

Hey Albert!!! What happened lately??. Yo! Trout!! Altuve and Donaldson have let you back into the MVP lead, apparently. Get a valuable win or two or four this weekend, open some space between you and Mookie..

Donaldson is back in there, so I guess the MRI on his hip was negative.

He has been struggling this month.

A's are smelling blood in the water -- 11-0 lead over KC in the seventh and on their way to a 4-game road sweep. Angels will have to win tonight to avoid sole possession of fifth (last) place.

The Royals appear to have made vacation plans and checked out.

MLB Network will join a West Coast game in progress about 8 p.m. It's the Giants-Cards in most places. I'm in the Giants market, so mine says Angels-Jays. That will reduce my video delay if it happens.

Second time through the Toronto lineup doesn't look so easy for Mr. Wright.

Joey Bats drives home Donaldson. 1-0 Jays after 3 straight hits to open the fourth.

Wright bounced back well in the 1-2-3 fifth. He's losing 2-0, but the Angels only have 2 singles from Simba and Albert.

Considering Wright was an acquisition that made left lot of people scratching their heads, he did pretty well today against a tough Jays lineup

79 pitches and a walk to Donaldson in the sixth brings out Mike with the hook for Daniel Wright. He did all right, but he got no offensive support. Maybe the Angels hitters are waiting for the monkey to come out.
